A Bit About Steph

Coming from a Law and Sociology background Steph gravitated towards the health industry after graduation from Exeter University.

Stephanie Blake BA(Hons)RM SM MARAfter a couple of years as a personal trainer and fitness instructor she researched different schools of massage and finally enrolled with The Northern Institute of Massage, based in Bury Greater Manchester.

Her study of remedial massage also led her to study and qualify in pregnancy and baby massage in 2007. She then moved to SW London and established a busy massage practice until 2015, after which she relocated to Portishead, Bristol.

Steph has worked as a Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist for the last sixteen years working closely with local Physiotherapists and Chiropractors as well as other complimentary health practitioners. In 2021 she became level 4 ITEC qualified in Sports Massage studying at The Cotswold Academy, where she then went on to study and qualify in Reflexology.

Over the years her love of helping people through massage has led her to advanced training qualifications including Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Trigger Point, Kinesiotaping (with Rocktape UK) and Myofascial Release Techniques which are incorporated into treatments where appropriate.

Steph is a member of the Association of Reflexologists.

Steph is also a keen runner, crossfitter and gym goer, which has resulted in strong working relationships with personal trainers and local fitness professionals.
